Open call for STEM activities
Ada Lovelace receives activity proposals throughout the year to add to the repertoire of future editions of the Event.
Applications received until April of each year may be considered for the current edition; while those that arrive later remain with evaluation pending for the following edition.
About the Ada activities
What are we looking for?
Playful, experimental and replicable proposals, aligned with the maker culture: learning by doing, exploring, making mistakes and sharing.
We select up to three interdisciplinary activities per edition, intended for girls aged 10 to 12, that:
- Promote the active leadership of girls.
- Propose experiences of exploration and experimentation.
- Are replicable in different host sites and contexts.
- Use accessible and low-cost materials.
- Are safe and inclusive.
The activities must have a duration of 45 to 60 minutes and be designed for groups of up to 35 participants.
Thematic axes
Proposals can be registered under one or combine several of these axes:
- Science and environment
- Technology and computational thinking
- Mathematics and physics
What must the application include?
Each proposal is presented through a complete form that includes:
- Summary and pedagogical rationale.
- Learning objectives.
- Detailed didactic sequence (with timings and dynamics).
- Materials and space conditions.
- Safety, accessibility and inclusion guidelines.
- The form is designed to guarantee that the activity can be replicated in multiple host sites and contexts.
Important
If you are part of an Ada Lovelace host site, we recommend testing the activity at your institution before submitting it. The possibility of replicating it in different educational and territorial contexts is one of the most important selection criteria.
What do we offer?
The selected activities receive:
- Pedagogical and technical support.
- Testing and adjustment stages.
- Production of guides, sheets and videos.
- Publication as a free-access digital kit on the Ada Lovelace website.
Why propose an activity?
Ada Lovelace builds each edition together with teachers, researchers, outreach workers, students and educational teams from across Latin America.
Each new activity adds perspectives, experiences and ways of bringing science and technology closer to more girls and adolescents.
Download the form, complete it and send it to our email:

Incomplete proposals may not be considered.
